MARATHON UPDATE: STARTING TIME CHANGED

I will be starting the marathon at 10am CST, not 8am CST. This gives me a little more preparation time at not so early in the morning. (plus I didn’t actually expect any to really tune in at 8am anyway) So anyone who wants to tune in, may do so starting at around 9:30am CST (GMT -5:00) at http://www.twitch.tv/StageSelect

There’s this little Mega Man Marathon I’m doing this saturday for Extra-Life charity…

I figured to plug my marathon here on Tumblr, as I have a bunch of followers, and everyone who knows me, knows I love video games, especially Mega Man.

Mega Man Classic/X series 24 hour Marathon race for Charity!

This Saturday, October 20th, 2012, at 08:00am Central Standard Time, I will be partaking in the annual Extra-Life gaming charity event, playing video games for 24 hours to raise money for the Texas Children’s Hospital as part of the Children’s Miracle Network. 

I will be livestreaming the event on Twitch.tv at http://www.twitch.tv/StageSelect for the entire 24 hours, so anyone who wishes to watch, cheer me on, help donate money to the cause, you are welcome to do so. 

The games I will be playing this year are as follows:

• Mega Man 5
• Mega Man 6
• Mega Man 7
• Mega Man 8
• Mega Man 9
• Mega Man 10
• Mega Man X

• Mega Man X5
• Mega Man X6
• Mega Man X7
• and possibly Mega Man X8 if I can miraculously find a copy by Saturday.

All of that, in a 24 hour period.

Now that’s a lot of Mega Man, and I’m honestly quite excited and quite nervous for this event. Those of you who know me, know I’m passionate about video games, and helping others as much as I can, and this is my way of giving back by playing video games.

I hope to see a lot of you there!
